About the Foundation
The Medical
Center
Foundation
is a 501(c)3
organization
committed to
supporting a
healthier
community.
The
Medical
Center
Foundation
was
formed
in 1986
and is
led by a
volunteer
Board of
Trustees.
The
Foundation's
mission
is to
cultivate
relationships
and
partnerships
to
increase
community
support
of
Northeast
Georgia
Medical
Center.
The
Foundation
provides
sound
stewardship
of
contributions
to build
a
healthier
northeast
Georgia.
The
Foundation
provides
a vital
source
of
funding
for:

community
health
improvements,
-
technological
advancements,
The
Medical
Center
Foundation
was
begun
with
seed
money
provided
by the
Medical
Center
Auxiliary,
and
during
the
Foundation's
first 30
years,
the
Auxiliary
contributed
nearly
$5
million
to the
Medical
Center
Foundation. Foundation
Founder,
Nell
Weigand,
knew
that a
Foundation
could
make a
dramatic
difference
in the
care
given to
our
community
and over
two
decades
later,
the
Foundation
continues
to
strengthen
the
community
by
building
collaborations
which
make for
a
healthier
community.
