Northeast Georgia Medical Center has been the cornerstone of high quality healthcare services for the community. The hospital is a valuable resource to businesses and industries throughout Northeast Georgia, in providing a wide range of easily accessible healthcare services to their employees and families.  Through the Arbor Circle, corporations can support the hospital as it cares for our community.
  Since the Medical Center’s opening in the early 1950s, business and community leaders have played a major role in the development of the hospital, volunteering their time to serve on hospital boards and committees. Several companies have contributed financially to special projects coordinated by the Medical Center to reach targeted populations with needed healthcare services. The need for support from businesses and industries is more pressing today than ever before and will enable Northeast Georgia Health System to meet the healthcare challenges of the future.
  In the past five years, the total volume of services provided and related billings have increased over 20 percent; however, payments received from government and managed care payors have decreased. During the same period, the cost to care for patients has increased consistent with higher volumes, sicker patients and general inflation.
  Community hospitals throughout the state and country are relying on support for funding new medical technologies and healthcare service improvements through charitable gifts from individuals and the corporate community. Philanthropic gifts, along with effective leadership and cost containment throughout all levels of the organization, will enable the Medical Center to continue to fulfill its mission to improve the health of the community.
