We need your help.
We invite you to support the relocation of the Ronnie
Green Heart Center within NGMC’s South Patient Tower to
newly updated space with fast, direct access to the
state-of-the-art operating suites. The Heart Center’s
new home features advanced
monitoring systems and helps consolidate cardiac
services, increasing continuity of care for heart
patients.
 Why does the Ronnie
Green Heart Center need my support?
With the growth of NGMC also comes great
financial need. For all the construction that
has been undertaken to meet the needs of our
growing community, there is significant debt.
Plus, with the increasing costs to provide
health care and decreasing reimbursements, the
need for community support is important now more
than ever. NGMC receives no local taxpayer
support and is committed to providing
non-elective healthcare services to all
residents in our region, regardless of ability
to pay. The Medical Center Foundation’s
fundraising efforts have a significant impact on
the Ronnie Green Heart Center’s ability to
continue providing world-class healthcare
services for our community.
At
the Ronnie Green Heart Center, our community is
receiving exceptional care.
Since 2002, the people of Northeast Georgia have
relied on the Ronnie Green Heart Center (RGHC)
at Northeast Georgia Medical Center(NGMC) for
comprehensive cardiac care close to home. Within
four short years of opening the Ronnie Green
Heart Center, NGMC was ranked #1 in Georgia and
in the top 5% in the nation for cardiac care, a
ranking NGMC has maintained for six consecutive
years (2006 - 2011). In fact, for 2011,NGMC is
one of only five hospitals in the nation to rank
#1 in all four cardiac categories, according to
HealthGrades Hospital Quality in America Study.
For individuals experiencing a heart attack or
cardiac event, TIME =
HEART MUSCLE. The faster they are treated, the
more heart muscle is saved.
