Women &
Children's
Area enhanced by generous
donors
The Women and Children's
Pavilion opened in the Fall of 2008 with
18
labor-delivery-recovery rooms, eight
prep and exam rooms, four surgical suites for caesarean
sections, and eight antepartum rooms for high-risk
mothers who are on monitored bed rest to prevent preterm
labor.
The Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit has been funded in part
through $2.4 million from The Medical Center
Foundation’s Healthy Journey II Campaign, which
includes philanthropic support from community
members, businesses, volunteers, physicians and
hospital employees through the W.A.T.C.H. (We
Are Targeting Community Healthcare) employee
giving club.
$1 million
was generously donated
by longtime supporters of NGMC children’s
projects, the Jim Syfan Family Foundation
which includes the families of
Jim & Gloria
Syfan,

In
addition, The Art Collection
which decorates the Pavilion
and warms the halls was made possible by

and a new
