2014 Medical Center Open Golf
Teeing off for the 23rd
year, The Medical Center Foundation’s Annual Medical
Center Open Golf Tournament is scheduled for Thursday,
October 2 at Chicopee Woods Golf Course in Gainesville.
The Medical Center Foundation Board of
Trustees has selected Center Point as the beneficiary of
the 2014 Open. Tournament proceeds will support Center
Point’s expansion into South Hall County by establishing
a facility to provide students and families in this area
greater accessibility to:
substance abuse programs.
Center Point has been serving
Gainesville/Hall County for more than 45 years.
Originally the brainchild of a few local churches
created with the purpose of providing off-site religion
classes to public school students, Center Point has
transformed into a multi-tiered organization reaching
over 7,000 students and adults annually. Its mission—in
partnership with area schools and organizations—is to
promote the success of students and families by engaging
in positive asset development.
Tournament co-chairs Dr. Michael
Callahan and Jody Cooley are pleased to partner with
Bank of America Merrill Lynch as the tournament’s
premier sponsor. Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s
continued support helps allow 100 percent of the golf
tournament’s proceeds to go directly to the Open’s
