The Medical Center Foundation received the 2011 Spirit of Philanthropy Award for Best Employee Giving Program from the Georgia Hospital Association’s Georgia Association for Development Professionals (GADP). The Spirit of Philanthropy Awards were presented at the annual GADP conference and recognize Georgia’s healthcare development professionals for excellence in their field. These awards give association members a statewide venue to showcase their fundraising accomplishments while acknowledging top performances.

Entries were judged on content organization, creativity, implementation, results, resourcefulness and quality. The winning Foundations had the opportunity to facilitate a roundtable discussion at the conference. 

Members of The Medical Center Foundation’s W.A.T.C.H. (We Are Targeting Community Healthcare) Employee Giving Club have contributed more than $4 million to support the Healthy Journey Campaign since the program’s inception in 2000.
